Welcome to the Drop Table web site

Your doorbell rings...
You peer through the keyhole...
Drop Table is on your doorstep! Well, let 'em in! It's freakin' cold out there!
Thanks!

Err...do you have any beer? No? Oh well, no worries, you can pop out and fetch some later...

Well, anyway, a little about us:
Your humble guests most likely first met on a playground at the ripe old age of fourteen. Denis had already begun a life-long pursuit of capturing on film what he saw with his eyes, and Al, the long-haired new kid in town, had already spent years trying to capture the sounds in his head on the strings of his guitar.

Flash forward to a watershed moment a few years back, when Robin Lane (highly recommended), performed a "living room" concert at the home of mutual friends. The evening concluded with an audience participation portion where everyone was encouraged to play any of the various instruments on hand.

The spark was lit, and soon Denis began shedding on the harmonica and any other noisemaker he could get his hands on, many of which he's created himself.
Al writes most of the words and music, sings, plays the guitars, as well as piano, banjo, tambora, sitar (as a drone, anyway), occasional accordion, and various percussion.
Denis, as well as harmonica, plays autoharp, didgereedoo, recorder, accordion, various synthesized sounds, and a steel "tank drum" of his own creation.

So please give us a look, and a listen...And do be so kind as to tell your friends, won't you?

Are you going to get beer now?

Al
